ISSUE
Our Mac Leopard/Intel Updates sometimes fail on Macintosh computers that have been upgraded to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard from a previous version of OS X. An error message indicates that the registration code is invalid and to contact Alien Skin for further assistance.
SOLUTION
The Mac OS X upgrade process sometimes leaves Alien Skin plug-in files with the wrong security permissions. These incorrect permissions prevent our updaters from working correctly.
The solution is to repair permissions on your Mac OS X startup disk using Disk Utility.
Quit Photoshop.
Open a Finder Window on your Mac and locate the Application Folder.
Open the Application Folder and locate the Utilities Folder.
Open the Utilities Folder and run the Disk Utility application.
Once the Disk Utility application is running, select your Mac OS X startup disk from the menu at the left.
Go to the First Aid tab, and run the Repair Disk Permissions utility.
Once this utility has successfully run, close the Disk Utility application and re-run the Alien Skin Leopard Update that failed.
