Alien Skin Plug-ins Running Slow After Upgrading to Mac OS X Leopard

ISSUE

Alien Skin Plug-ins and Photoshop in general running slow after ugrading to Mac OS X Leopard.

SOLUTION

  1. Quit Photoshop.
  2. Create a folder titled Old PS Settings on your Desktop.
  3. Move the following files into the Old PS Setting folder you just created:
    • /Users/Home folder/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop (version) Paths
    • /Users/Home folder/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop (version) Settings
    • /Users/Home folder/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Photoshop.plist
  4. Log out
  5. Log back in and restart Photoshop.

The Alien Skin Plug-ins and Photoshop in general should run much faster now. If you should ever need to restore any of previous Photoshop Paths or Settings, utilize the files you put in the Old PS Settings folder.
