Universal Plug-Ins Don't Appear in Photoshop CS2 or Elements 4 Filter Menu

ISSUE

I installed Alien Skin plug-ins, but they don't appear in the filter menu in Photoshop CS2 or Elements 4 for Macintosh. 

SOLUTION

Photoshop CS2 for Macintosh requires the 9.0.2 update in order to work with Universal plug-ins.  Without this update, the plug-ins do not appear in Photoshop's filter menu.  Universal plug-ins are designed to work with both Intel and PowerPC based Macintosh computers.

Similarly, Elements 4 for Macintosh requires the 4.0.1 update in order to work with Universal plug-ins.

These updates may be installed using the built in updater in the affected Adobe products, or by download from Adobe's support site using the link in the references section below.
