ISSUE
Alien Skin has developed a panel that will allow you to quickly run all of the Snap Art 2 filters without having to access them in the Photoshop Filter menu. It is installed using the Photoshop CS4 Extension manager application. You must have Photoshop CS4 installed to utilize this panel.
SOLUTION
Download the Snap Art 2.mxp installation file and save it onto your desktop.

Here is how to install it on a Windows XP computer:
- Close the Photoshop CS4 application.
- Double click the Snap Art 2 mxp file located on your desktop.
- This should run the Photoshop CS4 Extension manager application.
- Click the License Accept button and the Snap Art 2 panel should be installed.
- Close the Photoshop CS4 Extension manager application.
Here is how to install it on a Windows Vista computer:
- Close the Photoshop CS4 application.
- Run the Adobe CS4 Extension Manager application as Administrator.
Note: To run the Adobe CS4 Extension Manager application as Administrator, left click the Start button and go to Programs. Select the Photoshop CS4 Extension manager application in the list, do a right click and select Run As Administrator.
- Click the Install button in the Adobe CS4 Extension Manager and select the Snap Art 2 panel installer located on your desktop.
- Click the License Accept button and the Snap Art 2 panel should be installed.
- Close the Photoshop CS4 Extension manager application.
Here is how to install it on a Macintosh computer:
- Close the Photoshop CS4 application.
- Double click the Snap Art 2 mxp file located on your desktop.
- This should run the Photoshop CS4 Extension manager application.
- Click the License Accept button and the Snap Art 2 panel should be installed.
- Close the Photoshop CS4 Extension manager application.
Once you have successfully installed the Snap Art 2 panel, please do the following to make it visible:
- Run Photoshop CS4 and access the Window menu.
- Select the Extension sub-menu and then select Snap Art 2.
Once you open an image, you should be able to run any of the Snap Art 2 filters using the buttons in the panel.
The panel is typically installed in the following location on Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\Panels
And in the following location on a Mac: /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS4/Plugins/Panels
But the panel could be installed elsewhere if you have a nonstandard CS4 installation.
If you wish to disable the panel in CS4, access the CS4 Window menu and select the Extension sub-menu. Deselect the Snap Art 2 panel in the Extensions list and the panel should disappear from your desktop.
If you wish to uninstall the Snap Art 2 panel, please do the following:
- On Windows Vista: Run the Adobe CS4 Extension Manager application as Administrator and select Photoshop CS4 from the product list.
- On Windows XP or on a Mac: Run the Adobe CS4 Extension Manager application and select Photoshop CS4 from the product list.
- Click the remove button located to the right of the Snap Art 2 panel in the list.
This should un-install the Snap Art 2 panel.
