ISSUE
You may encounter the following issues if you are using Splat! on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard:
- Once you have run one of the Splat! filters on an image, and attempt to Browse the resource file folders from the Splat! user interface it will appear that the folders are empty.
- While browsing the Splat! resource file folders, you will not see a preview of the selected resource file.
SOLUTION
When browsing the Splat! filter resource files, you can double-click the resource file folders to open them and view the files within.
Once the files are viewable, they can then be used with no problems. Unfortunately, there is no remedy for the problem of not getting a preview of the resource file selected in the browse window. Some of the resource files names are self explanatory. But some of them, like in the Frame filter, are not. We suggest you locate the hard copy of the Splat! manual that came with along with the software. In the back of the manual you will find a visual example of each resource file for each of the Splat! filters.
Please note that these problems will not be seen on earlier Mac OS X versions nor by Windows users.
These issues were introduced by Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Since Alien Skin Software no longer sells the Splat! product, there will be no update to address these issues. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
