If you use Lo-Fi to upload photos to Facebook then you are presented with a window like this:

Sentences like "Lo-Fi may access my data when I'm not using the application" are disturbing. I wish that Lo-Fi could present this stuff with a clearer explanation of why we need these permissions, but this presentation comes from Facebook, not us. So, allow me to explain how Lo-Fi works and publicly commit to not abuse your trust. Lo-Fi needs the "Access my data any time" permission so you don't have to login every time it uploads a photo for you. The only time Lo-Fi looks at your Facebook account is when it is uploading photos for you. That access key is kept on your local computer, so we do not have any access to your account here at Wingnut headquarters. The other permissions are necessary for Lo-Fi to post your photos to your wall. Security is an important issue. I don't blame you if you distrust a new company named Wingnut. Until you get to know us, you could simply save photos to disk and upload them with the Facebook web site. It doesn't get any safer than that!
