Here are the instruction to configure iPhoto to use Lo-Fi as an external editor. Unfortunately as of this writing, iPhoto only allows one external editor to be configured at one time. So if you already have iPhoto set up to use some other app (e.g. Photoshop), you will need to choose between using Lo-Fi and that other app. We hope you choose to use Lo-Fi. :-)

Configuration

1. In iPhoto, choose the menu option:

iPhoto > Preferences

2. In the General tab, change the Edit Photo option to In Application...

3. Browse your Applications folder and click on Lo-Fi.

4. iPhoto is now configured to use Lo-Fi as an external editor. If you leave it this way, you will lose access to iPhoto's internal editor. To re-enable iPhoto's internal editor, change the Edit Photo option back to In main window.

3. After editing your photos in Lo-Fi, you can save them to disk or upload to Facebook and Flickr. If you are saving to disk, choose the iPhoto preset option and clickSave. When you return to iPhoto, the photos you saved will show the Lo-Fi effects. If you want to undo those changes, you can right-click or Ctrl-click on the photo and choose Revert to original.

That's all folks! Enjoy Lo-Fi!

Running Lo-Fi from iPhoto

Now you are ready to run Lo-Fi.

1. Select the photos you would like iPhoto to send to Lo-Fi. Use Cmd-click to select multiple photos.

2. Right-click or Ctrl-click on one of those photos and choose Edit in external editor. If the configuration was done correctly, Lo-Fi will now launch.
