For all iOS devices 3G or later, you can check for software updates by going to Settings > General > Software Update. If an iOS update is available, your device will let you know.
The current iOS version is 6.0.
2. Check for updates to the application.
Makesure you have the latestversion of the applicationinstalled on your device. To check for application updates, open the App Store on your device. Once the App store is open, select Updates from the menu at the bottom to see which updates are available.
3. Do other Applications work?
Makesure all of your otherapplications are functioningproperly. Open two or three applications and see if they are working as expected. If they are, then you may need to reinstall the app. If other apps are crashing as well, then you may have a largerproblem.
4. Close all your multitasking applications.
Apps can start to crash or becomeunresponsive if you have a lot of them running in the background. If you starthavingtrouble with an app, pleaseclose all the onesrunning in the background. You can either doubleclick the Home button or swipe up with 4 fingers (if gestures are enabled) to see all the multitasking apps. To close them, hold your finger on one util they all start to wiggle. Thentouch the minussymbol that appearsnext to each app until they are all closed. This will not delete your app; it onlystops it from running in the background.
5. Restart your iOS device.
To restart your iOS device, justhold your Sleep/Wake button until the slide to power off option appears. Justslide it, wait a fewseconds, and your device will powerdown.Once it is powered off, justhold the Sleep/Wake button until the appleappears on your screen. Once you see the apple, you can release the Sleep/Wake button.
6. How to perform a Hard Reset.
Onlyuse this option if other steps have not resolved the issue. A hard reset is essentially the same as pulling the powercord from the wall. This will instantlyshut down your iOS device. To perform a hard reset makesure your device is unplugged. Then, hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button until your deviceturns off. This can take up to 10 seconds. Once the device is powered off, justhold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the apple on your screen.
7. How to delete and re-install an application.
Deleting an app is a verycommon troubleshooting step, but it may result in dataloss. If possible, alwaysperform a backup before deleting the app to save as muchdata as possible. To delete an application, justhold your finger on the application icon.Once it starts to wiggle, justtouch the x in the upperleftcorner of the app icon. It will ask you to confirm the deletion. Once the application has beendeleted, just download it again from your purchasehistory.
