How to take a screenshot

Often we will ask a customer to take a screenshot so we can see something on their computer. Here is how you do this on a Windows or Mac computer.

Windows

Press the PrtScn button on your keyboard. This stands for Print Screen. Once you have hit that button, you can open up Microsoft Paint and paste it into a blank file. Microsoft Paint is located under Start > Programs > Accessories.  After you open it up just click Edit > Paste (or Control-V) to paste your screen shot. Once you have pasted your screenshot, just click File > Save As and name your file.  If you are comfortable using your main photo-editing software instead of Microsoft Paint, you can.

Mac

To take a screenshot on a Mac, you need to press Command-Shift-4 all at the same time. When you do this correctly your cursor will change to a cross hair. Just click and drag over the area that you want to capture. Once you let the mouse button go, a picture file will appear on your desktop. You can attach that file to your email or support ticket for us to view.
